Experiencing Indigenous Cultures through Travel

Travelers have increasingly sought meaningful experiences that connect them with the people, cultures, and stories of the places they visit. Indigenous tourism has offered opportunities for those connections while supporting Indigenous-owned and Indigenous-led tourism businesses.

In this TAP Into Travel session, we explored the growing interest in Indigenous tourism and what travel advisors should know when recommending these experiences to clients. TAP Tour Operator Partners Jim Warren of Anderson Vacations and Matt Warren of Southwest Adventure Tours then shared itineraries and experiences in the United States and Canada that can help advisors introduce clients to Indigenous cultures, stories, and communities through travel.
