Alaska is home to breathtaking scenery that needs to be experienced in-person. In addition to the beautiful landscape – we do have baseball! The Midnight Sun Game is an amateur baseball game played every summer solstice at Growden Memorial Park in Fairbanks, Alaska. The sun is out for nearly 24 hours a day, the game starts at about 10:30 at night and completes around 1:30 in the morning. Next, we will spend a few days in Denali National Park and Preserve. Measuring 20,310 feet, Denali is the tallest peak in North America. We end the trip with a visit to Anchorage for a glacier tour.

Arrive in Fairbanks, Alaska's largest interior city. Meet a local representative and transfer to the hotel. You will meet your host in the lobby, starting at 3:00 PM. Our Welcome Trip Reception starts at 6:00 PM. *In order to not miss the Trip Reception, please arrive by 4:00 PM. Following hotel check-in, the remainder of the afternoon is free. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with your fellow travelers.

Start your day with a Fairbanks city tour and a stop at the famous Alaska-Valdez pipeline that carries oil 800 miles to the town of Valdez. Then, board an authentic Riverboat to learn how the first settlers traveled through this wilderness a hundred years ago. A bush pilot and dog demonstration is included with this tour. In the afternoon, you'll be able to meet and speak with a local baseball authority on the importance of baseball to the area. This evening, there is time to relax and enjoy dinner on your own before heading to the ballpark for the tour's main attraction, the famous Midnight Sun Baseball Game.

This morning, we depart late so you can recover from your late night at the ballpark. After breakfast, you'll board the motorcoach and head south to the town of Denali, gateway to Denali National Park. Once in Denali, your motorcoach and driver will be waiting to transfer you to the Denali Visitors Center for time to explore, watch an informative film about the park or walk some nearby trails. Lunch is on your own at the Marino Grill. Afterwards, you'll travel back to Denali and the hotel where dinner and the evening are at leisure.

Today, you'll travel into Denali National Park aboard a guided tour bus. This 5.5 hour tour will be your premier opportunity to see wildlife. Your guide will talk about the importance of the park as well as help point out wildlife such as bears, moose and caribou among many others. Later, enjoy free time to explore the town of Denali, relax at the hotel or book an optional tour through your local guide.

Today, the group will leave Denali National Park behind and travel south towards Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. En route, your group will stop at a mushers home and kennel to learn about what it takes to compete in Alaska's equivalent to the Super Bowl, the famous Iditarod race. The musher will tell stories from the trail and let you play with the puppies. This evening, you will attend a baseball game in either Palmer or Chugiak Alaska to see the Mat Su Miners or Chugiak Chinooks play. Both teams are part of the Alaska Baseball League. The ABL is an amateur collegiate summer league in operation since 1974.

This morning, you embark on a journey southward towards the Kenai Peninsula, where Alaskans go to play. En route, stop by the town of Girdwood, and Alaska's largest Ski Resort, Alyeska Resort. Here, you'll take the aerial tram to the top of Mt. Alyeska with an elevation gain of over 2,000 feet. If the weather is cooperative, you'll have views of distant glaciers, spectacular mountain peaks and the Pacific Ocean. Afterwards, transfer to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. This sanctuary takes in abandoned and injured animals in hopes of releasing them back into the wild. Then, your drive will continue through the Kenai Mountains and Turnagain Pass before arriving in Kenai for an evening game at Coral Seymour Memorial Park, home of the Peninsula Oilers.

Today, the group will travel back north towards the coastal town of Whittier. Access to this small town is only possible by boat or through the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel. Once in Whittier, your group will board a Glacier and Wildlife Cruise for a 3 hour 45 minute expedition into Prince William Sound. Your captain will bring the boat close to a tidewater glacier for a chance to see glacial calving, as well as look for marine wildlife such as whales, sea lions, otters and migratory birds. While onboard, you will enjoy a light meal. Afterwards, continue on to Anchorage and a farewell dinner.

After breakfast, with fond memories prepare to say goodbye to your local guide and driver and friends you've met along the way. Then, depart for Anchorage Ted Stevens International Airport for your flight home.
